Cameras

No public cameras verified

We have not found and checked any public camera feed that could be used to spot delivery drones or robots. Rather than show placeholder video, this page explains what is missing.

Status

Unavailable

0 cameras connected. 0 frames stored. Checked Oct 22, 2026. The research plan marks camera sightings as deferred, and whether they belong in the Atlas at all is still an open decision.

Why

Why cameras are on hold

Privacy

Traffic and street cameras record people, faces and plates. Pulling frames to spot robots means processing images of bystanders who never agreed to it.

Coverage bias

Cameras sit where cities put them, mostly at busy intersections. Counts would track where cameras are, not where robots operate, and would make covered areas look busier than the rest.

Identity

A frame rarely shows who runs a vehicle. Guessing an operator from a blurry shape would create claims we cannot source.

Before we add any

What a camera would need

  • The camera is run by a public agency and its feed is published for public use.
  • The agency's terms allow automated viewing and storing derived counts.
  • Frames are not stored, or faces and plates are blurred before anything is kept.
  • Detections are shown as community evidence and never change an operator's status.
  • Charts state which cameras were watched and when, so more cameras are not mistaken for more robots.

We will not

What you will not see here

  • Sample or stock footage presented as a live feed.
  • Private doorbell or security cameras.
  • Timestamps, counts or trends without a real camera behind them.
